In my life I have visited a lot of places and I want to write about each and every single one of them. But it just takes a very long time, So, I will keep updating this page in the next few weeks to spread out the work. If the country you want to know more about is in the list, I will write about it!
Although the country might be most famous for its volcanic eruptions, or the financial crisis, it’s also home to many, beautiful, landscapes. Although it’s only roughly the size of Kentucky, or South Korea, there are 130 volcanoes on the island, of which 30 are still active! With only 330.000 people, of which 230.000 live in or around the capital city, it’s one of the most sparsely populated countries on earth and should be on everyone’s bucket list.
New Zealand. The land of active volcanoes, stellar mountains, beautiful coastlines and Hobbit-fans. The two islands together might offer the most diverse landscapes in the world. Due to the lack of natural predators it’s also a safe haven for birds, and a hot-spot for birdwatchers. As a European ‘one does not simply go to’ New Zealand, as it’s a hellish 20-something-hour flight. The torture is totally worth it though. I have never seen a country with such diversity ever before.
You probably already know a thing or two about Portugal. Port wine, Algarve, Lisbon, and maybe even Sintra. But there is more to see here than just these places. Some are still undiscovered by mass tourism! How great is it to see something truly amazing, while there is no tourist in sight! Portugal is one of my favorite countries and I am happy to share with you why that is.
